BETRAYAL OF THE TRUST

Premise

A romantic suspense, Betrayal of the Trust partners a reserved art broker with an urbane detective, as they uncover a string of murders and art forgeries all done in the name of revenge.

Synopsis

Since childhood, JADE LAURENT, has been groomed to take over her father’s business--a day she thought would be long in coming--until her father is recently killed in a hit and run accident.  She accepts her responsibilities and even relishes the opportunity to prove her worth against the “big boys” in the arena of art importing and brokering.  But Jade fights a niggling desire to be something else.  To creep out from under the persona her father created for her, to be truly independent.

On the eve of her biggest commission to date, Jade’s world is abruptly shattered. Ben, her courier, her father’s best friend and a man she thinks of as an uncle, is murdered.  She is immediately dealt another blow, Ben’s precious cargo, a rare sapphire, has been stolen, and in its place a simple note: “Jade is next.”

MALCOLM TALBOT, private investigator, is as well known for ferreting out the truth as for squiring around town the latest hot bod.  But while on the job clients are kept at arms length, and his newest client won’t be any different, especially since she has a bulls-eye painted on her back. 

However, Jade isn't about to let this murder investigation take place without her, even if it places her squarely into the murderer's sights.  As the investigation intensifies--revealing the hidden past of her father and family, so do the attempts on Jade’s life.

Premise

Synopsis

While ALEXANDRA DANFORTH’s genes say she should be settling down and adding children to her large extended family, her experience with dating has been less than stellar.  Her world of computers and logic is the antithesis of complex, irrational and unprogrammable relationships.  She’s always been more comfortable opening a book than opening up to people.

Alex gets a frantic call from her best friend, Ria, that a hacker has again caused serious computer breaches at Keir Michaels Architectural Designs.  Who better to ferret out the hacker than one of the best computer systems analysts in the country?

KEIR MICHAELS has pulled himself up from ignominy and created a name for himself.  Two more weeks and he will present his designs for the biggest architectural competition in the country--The Eden Competition.  Life can’t get much better than this.

He is dealt a cruel blow when the police notify him that not only has Ria--his best architect--been killed in an automobile accident, she lists Keir as next of kin.  Stunned, Keir never thought of the possibility his father’s bigamy could produce siblings.

Keir and Alex, drawn together by Ria's death, uncover a web of tangled lives, jealousy and deception and become targets themselves.

Premise

In this romantic suspense, a widow whose child has been kidnapped must ask for the help of her former fiancé.

Synopsis

Cate Hemstead is sure she has withstood all the blows fate could deliver following the sudden death of her husband, until her beloved five-year-old daughter Haley disappears.

The only person Cate can turn to is Jason St. Pierre, who may not be terribly willing to help since she brutally destroyed their relationship seven years ago, then months later married his business partner and conceived a child--the very reason she cited as their irreconcilable difference, Jason wanted  a family, Cate wanted a career.  Starting a family could wait.

However Cate misjudges Jason who is deeply concerned for the little girl's safety and readily agrees to help.  Their search takes them from Denver to Hawaii and uncovers treachery, disloyalty and an unhealthy need of a family to control destiny. 
 
During the time it takes to find Haley, Cate and Jason discover of each other’s new strengths and rediscover the path back to love.
